The tour to the "Kahler Asten" with a length of 77 km is not a par force ride but rather a cycling "treat", whose route was chosen so that despite the 1058 hm the requirement profile can be classified as "medium".

Directions

After the start at the Willingen train station, an approx. 5 km long roll-in route, using the shoulder, leads us to Brilonwald, before a 1.4 km long climb to the Rhine-Weser watershed follows. At the crest we see the "fire oak" sparkling especially in the sunlight. There was an early historical cult site there, today the Rothaarsteig crosses the road there.

Safty guidelines

A rescue point system is installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis district, Märkischer Kreis district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found, among other things, on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycling network.
