Cycle tour from Hilchenbach through Sauerland villages

We leave the market square via Dammstraße and cycle via Hadem, Helberhausen and Oberndorf to the Oberndorfer Höhe. This challenging ascent is a real challenge. Enjoy a well-deserved first break with the most beautiful view on the Oberndorfer Höhe (photo), or stop off at Helmut's Rothaarhütte on Sundays and public holidays. Now it's downhill to Heinsberg. The charming village offers more places to stop for refreshments. Follow the road to Würdinghausen via Albaum. At the traffic circle, turn left towards Kirchhundem. The wonderful church in Kirchhundem invites you to pause for a moment of reflection. Turn left and follow the villages of Flape and Wirme, always ascending until you reach Brachthausen. To avoid having to take the country road back to Hilchenbach, turn left in Brachthausen and cycle past the former "Zum Hasenbahnhof" restaurant to the wind turbines above Hilchenbach. Once you reach the connecting road, follow the road downhill to the right to Hilchenbach and back to the starting point.
