Gipfelstürmer - over the height of the Ebbekamm
The cycle tour leads through the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park over the ridge of the Ebbegebirge at over 660 m above sea level. The sporty tour leads through numerous nature reserves and opens up impressive views of the Sauerland mountains.

The tour starts either at Meinerzhagen train station or at the Schützenplatz parking lot (KNP 33). After a short crossing of the town area, you reach Willertshagen, the gateway to the Ebbegebirge.
On well-maintained forest paths, you climb around 200 meters in altitude and reach the Ebbekamm with its beautiful views. From here, you cycle around 12 km along the mountain ridges. With a detour to Nordhelle, you reach the summit of the tour. After a rapid descent and short climbs, there are opportunities to stop for refreshments in Valbert.
Now it's just a few kilometers through the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park back to the starting point.
Due to the differences in altitude to be overcome, this tour is reserved for sporty, active people or those riding a pedelec. The tour is not aimed at sporty mountain bikers or racing cyclists.

Safty guidelines
The ride through the Ebbegebirge is on well-maintained forest roads or asphalted forest paths. Due to logging work, the surface is partially damaged, so you have to be careful, especially on descents!
Public transiot
Meinerzhagen station can be reached via the RB 25 Cologne-Meinerzhagen line.
Getting there
Approach by car via the BAB 45 exit Meinerzhagen, continue on the B 54 in the direction of Meinerzhagen Zentrum/Bahnhof.
Parking
At Meinerzhagen train station, better at Schützenplatz. Free parking is available there.
