The circular route connects the 100 Castles Route with the Römer-Lippe-Route. The route takes you past the "Haus Assen" and "Schloss Hovestadt mit Barockgarten" water castles, the St. Ida Basilica in Herzfeld, Westfalen's oldest place of pilgrimage, the Oestinghausen church square with St. Stephanus Church and the Heimathaus, the "Ahsewiesen" nature reserve and the Sändkers Mühle mill in Hultrop.
On the approximately 30 km long route, you will discover the contrasts in Lippetal: to the north of the Lippe, the special features of Münsterland dominate with scattered settlements and extensive parkland with old trees and forests, while the typical characteristics of the Soest Börde with fertile farmland and established villages can be seen in the south.
Discover the "Auenland nature experience" along the Lippe and Ahse rivers in Lippetal. Bring some time and perhaps a pair of binoculars, enjoy the landscape, discover animals and plants. New observation huts and cozy seating areas invite you to linger.

Safty guidelines
A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at junctions and hiking signs.
Public transiot
There are no train stations along the route. A limited journey is possible by bus. The nearest train station to the starting point is Lippstadt.
