The approx. 13 km long M4 circular cycle route allows you to actively experience the beauty of the Medebach Bay bird sanctuary - cycle where great grey shrikes and red-backed shrikes are at home.

This cycle tour combines an experience of nature and history. As we cycle through the unspoiled nature of Medebach Bay, we repeatedly come across evidence of times gone by. For example, we pass the Jewish cemetery on Glindfeld Weg, come across information boards from the local history association and discover traces of the old railroad embankment of the Steinhelle-Medebach narrow-gauge railroad. The tour takes us along large sections of gravel and tarmac paths along the edges of the forest. In the Kuckucksuhle we can enjoy fantastic views of the town of Medebach, as well as from the Weddelberg.

Directions
The circular cycle route is signposted throughout with a green "M4".We start the 13 km long circular tour from the tourist information office on the market square. From here, we first follow the Oberstraße to the Glindfelder Weg junction (REWE Markt), which we follow to a stone cross just before Glindfeld. Now we turn right towards the "Krämershagen" settlement. Shortly before the Medebach-Küstelberg country road, we turn left onto a gravel path, which we follow uphill for approx. 1.5 km to the country road (Hof Rennefeld). Now cycle carefully on this road to the right as far as the former quarry on the Bromberg, from where the tour takes us uphill to the left and we finally reach the "Kuckucksuhle" barbecue hut. We continue along this paved path until we reach the Medebach-Oberschledorn country road, where we turn right for 300 m and then take the paved path that leads us past the Weddel and back to Medebach.

Parking
It is possible to park free of charge in the parking garage by arrangement with the Medebach Tourist Information Office. A separate parking ticket must be deposited in the vehicle.
