- Round trip
The landscapes on this long road bike tour from Winterberg could not be more contrasting. On the one hand, the rugged Rothaargebirge mountains with their numerous gradients and, on the other, the almost Mediterranean-like Medebach Bay, which is also known as the Tuscany of the Sauerland.

From the rugged, rough Rothaargebirge mountains to the gentle, almost Mediterranean Medebach Bay: This contrast is what makes this medium-difficulty road bike tour so appealing. One highlight follows the next and the varied route profile is a welcome challenge.
To start off, racing cyclists enjoy the long descent past the Großer Bildchen into the Sorpetal. The baroque monastery in the spa town of Grafschaft is well worth a visit. The tour leads through numerous hairpin bends in the Rothaargebirge mountains to Bad Berleburg - and thus over the border to the Wittgensteiner Land region. The historic Altstadt with its baroque castle is well worth a stroll.
After this detour into the neighboring region, the route continues for miles through the open landscape of the Medebach Bay - the "Tuscany of the Sauerland". With the long climb up the Schlossberg near Küstelberg, it's time to put the pedals to the metal once again: Around 370 meters in altitude have to be mastered. After a short detour via Grönebach, the racing cyclists recover from the tour in Winterberg's pubs and restaurants.
