The most beautiful road bike passes in the Sauerland - The Glinge
Glingestraße is not actually a pass at all. It is a dead end and ends at the upper reservoir of the Pumpspeicherwerk Rönkhausen. But the view from the end point definitely justifies the elevation gain. What's more, the route at the lower reservoir is part of the Stoppomat route. So: two birds with one stone!

The mountain begins at the traffic circle in Rönkhausen. At the beginning, the route is almost flat through Rönkhausen. Please drive carefully and with foresight here. It becomes barely noticeably steeper and the road winds its way up the Glinge valley. Shortly before the lower basin, things start to get more interesting. This is also the start of the only Stoppomat route in North Rhine-Westphalia. The narrow road winds its way uphill through the forest towards the upper reservoir. The Stoppomat route ends just below the upper basin.
If you want to enjoy the fantastic 360-degree view, you should take on the last few meters in altitude to the upper basin.

Public transiot
The nearest train station to the starting point is 7 km away in Finnentrop. Regular bus service to Rönkhausen with the R80 line (15 minutes).
