Three of Olsberg's most beautiful villages, all of which have been awarded the title of "Gold Village", await you on this 17-kilometre loop. Lush floral arrangements in front of pretty half-timbered facades, quaint pubs with delicious Sauerland specialties: the black and white village scenery will inspire you.
All three villages can look back on an eventful past and are still attractive destinations for locals and visitors today. Elleringhausen is characterized by the artworks of Jürgen Suberg, a student of Joseph Beuys. Bruchhauser Steine is the European gold village on the stones, four mighty volcanic rocks in the middle of an extensive nature reserve.
Finally, a sea of roses awaits you in the rose village of Assinghausen: 200 varieties of roses bloom in the gardens and parks of the officially designated rose village.
A tour that starts at Tourismus Brilon Olsberg GmbH, Ruhrstraße 32. At the traffic lights at Bahnhofstraße/Carls-Aue-Straße, take the "Rutsche" road. Follow the cycle path signs in green for approx. 5 km to Elleringhausen. The route continues along Elleringhausener Straße to the end of the village. Behind the cemetery there is another cycle path signpost leading to Bruchhausen. In the "Zur Hammerbrücke" industrial estate, the cycle path turns right over the hill and continues to Assinghausen. There, directly at the foot of the hill, the Ruhrtal cycle path joins on the right and leads back to Olsberg.
