Each section of the rampart has a different face: sometimes massive, defiant with overgrown masonry, sometimes quiet or picturesquely lined with flowers and trees, as in the rose gardens at Dasselwall. Optionally, one can also walk in the shade of the wall, in the Gräfte. However, on the wall, of course, you can see more - in both directions - and can catch many a glimpse of an old town garden.
