WasserWegeWinkel combines seven Westphalian communities and their most beautiful settings to create a remarkable experience. As independent and individual as these communities are, they can be summed up in three characteristic core features: KulturOrte, NaturRäume and WasserWelten. Sometimes rich in contrast, sometimes in harmonious harmony, a total of 57 special places and sections make up the great charm of the route. The balanced interplay of historic Altstadt, floodplain landscapes, overgrown ruins, nature reserves, imposing churches, information sites and many other stops could hardly be more diverse - and offers the right highlights for every traveler. The route 130 kilometers through seven municipalities with 57 multifaceted stops - from nice spots to local insider tips to bustling tourism magnets: The LEADER region of Lippe-Möhnesee is waiting to be experienced and enjoyed. Each municipality shows its individual highlights and fits harmoniously into the overall regional constellation, beyond its own municipal boundaries. Thanks to short distances between the destinations, the explorer's instinct experiences no dry spells along the entire route. From the station in Möhnesee, you reach the Ruhrtalweg via the Möhnetalradweg. In this way, the route also provides a direct link between the important Emsradweg and Ruhrtalradweg cycle routes.
You enter the route in each of the seven places via an entrance gate. You will find relaxation and deceleration on numerous islands of peace. Or you can use the adjacent bike routes for detours into the surrounding countryside.
