The route is located in the north-west of Arnsberg and leads through the beautiful Ruhrtal valley to the wild forest of Vosswinkel and back to Neheim.

The tour starts at Neheim-Hüsten DB station. The route first leads through Rumbeck Forest. You pass the Neheim outdoor pool and cycle along the west side of the Ruhr to the districts of Bergheim, Bachum and Vosswinkel. The Arnsberg-Menden airfield can be seen on the right.
Through the Höllinghauser Heid you finally reach the Voßwinkel wild forest.
The route continues past Höllinghausen Castle and along the L 732 for a while until you cross the Ruhr over a bridge and reach Haus Füchten. The route now follows the RuhrtalRadweg along the eastern bank of the Ruhr back to the starting point of the tour in Neheim.

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
The RE 17 and RB57 trains stop at Neheim-Hüsten station.
