- Round trip
The "Winterberg Wave Rider" is a relatively short road bike tour that is ideal for the start of a road bike weekend or a short tour on the day of departure. The name of the tour already indicates its character: The profile is mainly undulating. Ideal for getting your legs up to operating temperature for further tours in the land of a thousand mountains.

On the undulating profile with crisp climbs and long downhill sections, racing cyclists make up a lot of altitude meters. The tour is relatively short and therefore ideal for the start of a racing bike weekend or a last lap on the day of departure.
From the Kappe adventure mountain in Winterberg, road cyclists ride up to the Kahler Asten - the highest point in NRW that can be cycled on asphalt. Views almost like in the Alps make the effort worthwhile. The route climbs steadily up to the highest village in the Sauerland, Altastenberg, and then continues downhill to Siedlinghausen, the northernmost point of the tour.
The tour leads back to Winterberg through the Namenlose valley flanked by mountain ridges - unless cyclists are up for another challenge. Because the descent down to Züschen, the undulating course via Mollseifen and the steep stage down to Neuastenberg are a real treat.
