3-circle mountain bike tour (MK, HSK, Olpe)

The challenging mountain bike tour starts at the office of the Plettenberger KulTour GmbH in the heart of the city of Plettenberg. Here you can have a little refreshment in the ice cream parlors or cafes. Afterwards, the tour goes past the town hall into the Grünetal, one of the four valleys of the town of Plettenberg. Once in the Grünetal, a new bike path leads along the Grünebach on a relatively flat surface. Afterwards, the first small ascent follows.

If you keep your eyes open, you can pull seeds for a wildflower meadow from a former gum machine shortly before the village of Landemert in front of the Schützenhalle (bridge) on the right side. Arrived in the village of Landemert, follow the cycle path signs to the end of the village.

At the end of Landemert, the trail crosses the road at the crossroads and goes up the left-hand path, past the houses to the horse meadow on the left. After the meadow the path continues to the left. After approx. 100 m, turn right and then left onto the X path, which you follow until you reach the X/F/B path. Then there is a long downhill until the industrial area of Finnentrop is in sight. After two 180° bends, turn right onto the B-path, follow this until there is a descent and then turn left by 180 degrees.

This path is followed until Finnentrop, turn left there at the crossroads and drive into the industrial area. At the bridge go straight on until you reach the Sauerlandring, there turn left, but onto the B-Weg. Follow this road until you reach the B236. Continue on the B-Weg, which leads into a residential area above the gas station. Follow this road until the end, cycling through a narrow meadow path until you reach the forest. When you reach the forest, turn 180 degrees to the right and continue until you reach a wide path. There turn right and then after about 50 m turn left into the Frettertal, always keep slightly left until you see the old wooden sheds and continue to follow the path until you reach the Frettertal to the Rameil trout farm. Once here, cross the road and continue to the right in the direction of Schönholthausen/Lehnhauserstraße. 500 m after the last house, take the first path on the left until you reach a platform.

There follow the A8, slightly right in the direction of travel. Continue until you reach the country road Zur Glinge/Faulebutter, follow the road until you come to a junction, turn right there and then left twice. After approx. 1.5 km, after a descent, there is a junction, turn left uphill and turn left at the next junction until you reach the Höhenflug.

Turn right at one junction before you reach the Höhenflug and after approx. 1 km turn left the next way until you are on the Höhenflug again. Continue on the Höhenflug until you reach a bench, here you have a nice view of the village of Faulebutter. Then leave the Höhenflug and go to the Rademacher inn and follow the signs to the elevated village of Wildewiese. On the way, the attentive observer will see the Glinge pumped-storage power station on the left - in good weather, the lower and upper Glinge basins can be seen.

After the ascent, the Schomberg tower finally appears. It is accessible and rewards those who climb it with a magnificent view. We continue in the direction of Wildewiese and after only a short drive, the beautiful view over the mountains opens up once again. The ski and recreation area Wildewiese invites you with its hospitality (e.g. Gasthof Steinberg) to take a break. After Wildewiese you go downhill on the main road until you reach the big crossing (Hohes Lenscheid/Rönkhausen). There you go straight across the road and uphill to the ONCE-URIGEN gastronomy "Knallhartes Landleben". Since there are no fixed opening hours, it is advisable to call ahead and ask.

Continue straight ahead in the direction of the Schlot hiking parking lot. On the way there, first go straight over the crossing path and turn right at the next intersection (there is a hut and feeding station on the right). After about 1 km, turn left at a right angle onto an inconspicuous trail (this is indicated by a post with a hiking sign). Follow the path, keeping to the left, and follow the Höhenflug to the Schlot hikers' parking lot.

From Schlot follow the Höhenflug until before the Schlade hikers' parking lot. There, still before the hikers' parking lot and the road, take a sharp left and follow the path through the meadows in the direction of the Neuenrade-Birnbaum district.

About 500 m before the district of Birnbaum, turn left at the crossroads in the direction of Plettenberg-Blemke. Finally, the tour runs through the Plettenberg district of Eiringhausen to then follow the cycle path through the town towards the center. The tour ends at the office of the Plettenberger KulTour GmbH.
