After a comfortable journey on the Hönnetalbahn, you start your tour at Neuenrade train station, where there are also numerous parking spaces available. You then follow the idyllic course of the Hönne stream until shortly before Garbeck. In Balve, the route takes you through the historic town center and past the Luisenhütte, the oldest completely preserved blast furnace in Germany.
The route continues through idyllic meadow valleys, wooded streams and the Sorpetalsperre dam, where you can consciously slow down and enjoy fantastic views over the lake and quiet bays during the relaxed ride.
This cycle tour is suitable for experienced cyclists with a certain level of fitness. The route is mainly on cycle paths, with only a few places on routes with little traffic.
