Medebach Bay is often referred to as the "Tuscany of the Sauerland" because it is usually milder there compared to the rest of the Sauerland and it rains less often. The unique natural diversity in the "Medebach Bay European bird sanctuary" with its many rare and endangered bird species and extraordinary flora is an experience for every nature lover.

Tour 7 leaves Medebach in an easterly direction and leads us straight into the Aartal. A short, steep hill has to be overcome. But you can already take a short break at the fish ponds. We cycle on through the fields to Goddelsheim and back to the Aar in Münden on paths that are as beautiful as they are easy to cycle. Here you can also stock up on new drinks and provisions.

After a short stretch with a poor road surface, we reach Ronninghausen. A little later, we cross the Orke a second time and cycle slightly uphill through the fields back to Medebach.

Naturpark Infozentrum Sauerland-Rothaargebirge

One of six nature park information centers of the Sauerland Rothaargebirge Nature Park and an exhibition on the European bird sanctuary Medebach Bay are located on the upper floor of the Medebach tourist information office.

A rescue point system has been installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis, Märkischer Kreis, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Rescue points can be found on the information boards at the junctions of the Südwestfalen cycle network.
