In addition to the well-known Rothaar ridge, you will get to know other mountain ranges in the Siegerland region on this tour. Over the heights east of Hilchenbach, the route heads south towards Hessen and southern Siegerland. The landscape here is more expansive, with forests alternating with meadows. You return to your starting point through a corner of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Oberberge region and the southern Sauerland.

Directions

From Hilchenbach market square, the route heads towards Wenden - Schönau. Via Friesenhagen to Niederfischbach, then via Freusburg to Kirchen/Sieg. Via Herdorf to Burbach-Lippe and via the source of the Lahn and Sieg via Benfe and Lützel back to Hilchenbach.
